Herpetofauna del área de influencia del embalse de la Represa Yacyretá (Argentina-Paraguay)

Abstract

Se realizó un relevamiento de la herpetofauna de la zona de inundación de la represa Yacyretá situada en el límite entre Argentina y Paraguay, durante distintos períodos desde 1990 hasta 1994. En esta última fecha el muestreo coincidió con el II rescate faunístico llevado a cabo por el llenado del embalse. Se brinda la lista de los taxones hallados y se describen características exomorfológicas, ecológicas y de habitat de algunos de ellos.

The Herpetofauna of the area of the Yacyreta dam (Argentina-Paraguay) A survey of the herpetofauna in the inundation area of the Yacyreta dam (boundary of Argentina and Paraguay) along different periods between 1990 and 1994 was carried out. During that lasta year the survey was coincident with the faunal recovery before the dam filling. A list of taxa as well as some morphological and ecological characteristics and habitats are described.
