Esa presencia interpelante del otro : contribuciones a un debate actual

Abstract

El presente escrito pretende esbozar ciertos límites epistémicos de la noción ´alteridad´ empleada por el filósofo argentino Enrique Dussel al momento de indagar y problematizar la legitimidad del poder político y de su orden institucional. La propuesta consistirá en un diálogo crítico entre la apuesta teórica dusseliana y la consideración de ciertas advertencias conceptuales elaboradas por intelectuales pertenecientes y afines al Grupo de Estudios Poscoloniales para lograr, al menos, enunciar algunas dificultades metodológicas que se emplazan en determinadas notas constitutivas del concepto ´otro´ empleado para el cuestionamiento del horizonte político vigente. La referencia a una alteridad excluida, marginada y victimizada ha sido una de las estrategias discursivas más significativas empleadas por aquellas posturas críticas de cualquier sistema teórico autorreferencial y autolegitimante, como es el caso del eurocentrismo. Sin embargo, resulta interesante observar también que este punto ha sido blanco de numerosas dificultades al momento de emplazarse como eje neurálgico para la producción de argumentaciones sólidas. Es en el intersticio de esta doble realidad conceptual donde pretende ubicarse la hipótesis de este trabajo que, lejos de anhelar el arribo a conclusiones cerradas, intentará al menos señalar un posible derrotero para futuras profundizaciones investigativas.

The present article pretends to outline certain epistemic limits of the notion of ´otherness´ used by the Argentinian philosopher Enrique Dussel at the moment of inquiring and dealing with the problem of the legality of the political power and its institutional order. The proposal will consist on a critical dialogue between the theoretical position Dusseliana and the consideration of certain conceptual warnings created by intellectuals that belong to the Group of Postcolonial Studies to be able to, at least, express some methodological difficulties that are situated in determined notes constitutive of the concept ´other´ employee for questioning of the current political horizon. The reference to an excluded otherness, marginalized and victimized have been one of the most significant discursive strategies employed by those auto referential and legitimating, as is the case of eurocentrism. However, it is also interesting to observe how this point has been the target to many difficulties at the moment of establishing as a neuralgic axis for the production of solid arguments. In the interstice of this dual conceptual reality where the hypothesis of this work pretends to locate is that, far from wishing to arrive to close conclusions, it will try at least to point a possible defeat for future deep investigations
