The study has the aim of identify and classify land cover in Almirante Brown (Chaco Province). To control change between 2000 and 2016, mainly on native forest. Six Landsat's satellite images were used, from which three were from ETM + sensor for 2000 and the other three from OLI 8 sensor for 2016. I was made the radiometric corrections, bands composition (between visible and IF) to show up the current vegetation and mosaic to join the images.
The cover identify and image classification were based on FAO’s LCCS. The used method was the supervised and the algorithm of maximum probability. The results show the woods are the main cover in both years and bare soil sprawl on areas in where native forest were before.
