La prohibición interpelada transmisión intergeneracional del guaraní en un grupo familiar con cuatro generaciones en Corrientes, Argentina

Abstract

En este artículo se presentan avances de un estudio realizado con un grupo familiar bilingüe guaraní-castellano en el marco de una investigación sobre la transmisión intergeneracional del guaraní con grupos familiares de cuatro generaciones, en la provincia de Corrientes, Argentina. El instrumento central de la indagación es una entrevista de cuatro horas de duración con veinticinco miembros de la familia. Se describe el diseño metodológico del estudio, se incluye una caracterización de las generaciones según la percepción nativa respecto de su competencia lingüística y un análisis del modo en que el discurso de la prohibición del guaraní fue operando de manera particular en la transmisión entre cada generación. En particular, describimos en términos de política lingüística familiar, lo que hemos llamado la "prohibición interpelada" la cual supone un cuestionamiento de los hijos a los padres respecto a la no trasmisión /enseñanza del guaraní en su niñez

This article presents the advances of a study carried out with a bilingual Guaraní- Castilian family group within the framework of a research on the intergenerational transmission of Guaraní with family groups of four generations, in the province of Corrientes, Argentina. The inquiry´s instrument is a four-hour interview with twentyfive members of the family. It describes the methodological design of the study, includes a characterization of the generations according to the native perception regarding their linguistic competence and an analysis of the way in which the discourse of the Guarani prohibition was operating in a particular way in the transmission between each generation. In particular, we describe in terms of family linguistic policy what we have called the "interpellated prohibition" which involves a questioning of the children to the parents regarding the non-transmission / teaching of the Guaraní in his childhood.
