Los Invisibles en las visitas y padrones : algunas notas en torno a los registros en los pueblos de indios : Paraguay, siglo XVII-XVIII

Abstract

En este trabajo nos proponemos presentar el tema de la población guaraní invisibilizada en las Visitas, listas y registros que realizaron los oficiales en el Paraguay de los siglos XVII y XVIII. Los funcionarios, gobernadores, etc., visitaron en diferentes momentos las villas de Paraguay y los pueblos de indios, dejando como testimonio de su trabajo, extensos expedientes que registraron en detalle a la población encomendada como así también a sus familias y residentes en dichos poblados y urbes coloniales. Más allá del registro minucioso en algunos casos, se puede identificar a una población soslayada, invisible pero perceptible en la lectura de las fuentes. Nos abocaremos a presentarla y a analizar sus características. Con fuentes de los archivos de Asunción, Sucre, Río de Janeiro y Corrientes entre otros, nos abocaremos a pensar las características de la toma de datos en dichos registros que han llegado hasta nuestros días, a partir de diferentes documentos.

In this paper we intend to present the invisible guaraní population in the documents, Visits and records made by the officers in Paraguay in XVII and XVIII century. Officials, governors, etc., visted the indigenous towns od Paraguay at differents times, leaving as evidence of their work, extensive files that recorded in detail the entrusted populations as well as their families and residents in said towns and colonial cities. Beyond the meticulous recording in some cases, a bypassed population can be identified, invisible but perceptible when reading the sources. We will focus on presenting it and analyzing its characteristics. With sources from the archives of Asunción, Sucre, Río de Janeiro and Corrientes among others, we will focus on thinking about the characteristics of data collections in these registers that have survived it this day, from different documents
