Resumen
El artículo se dedica a reponer una forma de refl exión militar
que a lo largo de las últimas dos décadas del siglo XIX
propuso un vínculo fl exible entre el Ejército y la población
masculina, rechazando el proyecto de un servicio obligatorio.
Se restituyen las principales líneas argumentales y
se identifi can las coyunturas críticas que provocaron un
desplazamiento en las inquietudes, la formulación de otros
diagnósticos y la emergencia de nuevas preocupaciones The article is dedicated to restore a form of military
refl ection during the last two decades of the 19th Century
which proposed a fl exible link between the army and the
male population in Argentina, rejecting the project of a
compulsory service. This work intends to restore the main
lines of reasoning and to identify the critical conjunctures
that caused a shift in the concerns, the formulation of other
diagnoses and the emergence of new worries.
