Migración boliviana a los distritos de Recreo y Monte Vera : Conformación de redes sociales y transformación del cinturón hortícola santafecino. Departamento La Capital. Provincia de Santa Fe

Abstract

La presente investigación consistió en el estudio de la conformación de las redes sociales entre los migrantes bolivianos al cinturón hortícola santafesino a partir de 1970 y las consecuentes transformaciones en este espacio como producto entre otras cosas, de la inserción laboral y socioespacial de los inmigrantes. Dentro de los objetivos propuestos al comienzo de la investigación se consideró analizar el peso de los factores estructurales y contextuales del país emisor y receptor; determinar la importancia y rol de la existencia de redes sociales que posibilitaron la migración; reconocer aquellos cambios acontecidos en el cinturón hortícola santafesino y por último, aportar al conocimiento de un estudio de las redes sociales dentro de una mayor complejidad socio-espacial. Se arribaron a determinadas conclusiones acerca de la existencia de un tejido social en el cual los vínculos y la circulación de información y recursos hace posible la toma de decisión de migrar y fundamentalmente el traslado y posterior inserción en el cinturón hortícola santafesino. La conformación de una red social que va más allá de dicho espacio, que abarca distintas escalas, actores sociales y momentos, hace que los migrantes, en sus proyectos migratorios, experimenten la reducción de ciertos costos y riesgos, brindando un contexto en el cual encuentran contención de distinto tipo a la hora de migrar. Finalmente, en este marco de existencia de lazos más o menos fuertes que van formando una red social cada vez más institucionalizada, la comunidad boliviana se consolida en el espacio a través de una serie de cotidianeidades socio-espaciales y experiencias materiales y simbólicas, haciendo que en el tiempo, se construya la espacialidad del cinturón hortícola santafesino.

This research was about the study of the formation of social networks among the Bolivian migrants who have come to the Santa Fe horticultural belt from 1970 onwards and the resultant transformations within this space as a consequence, among other facts, of their labour and socio-spatial insertion. Among the aims proposed at the beginning of the research, it was considered to analyse the influence of the structural and contextual factors of the sending and the receiving countries; to determine the importance and the role of those social networks which made possible the migration; to recognise those changes that have taken place at the Santa Fe horticultural belt and, finally, to contribute to a knowledge of the social networks within a larger socio-spatial complexity. Certain conclusions were obtained about the existence of a social web in which the links and the circulation of information and resources make possible the decision making process to migrate and, essentially, the move and later insertion in the Santa Fe horticultural belt. The formation of a social network that goes beyond that space and that comprises different scales, social actors and moments makes the migrants undergo the diminution of certain costs and risks in their migratory plans. It also gives a context in which they find different types of support at the migrating time. Finally, in this framework with stronger or less strong bonds that form a social network more and more institutionalised, the Bolivian community consolidates itself in the space through a series of socio-spatial dailinesses and material and symbolic experiences, and this causes the construction, through the time, of the spatiality of the Santa Fe horticultural belt.
