Transformaciones del espacio agrario en la provincia del Chaco (República Argentina)

Abstract

El presente artículo tiene por objeto analizar las variaciones espaciales que se han producido en el Chaco, tanto en la agricultura como en la ganadería, a lo largo de las últimas cuatro décadas, reconocer esos cambios, los factores que los indujeron y las implicaciones que los mismos tienen a nivel territorial. La metodología consistió en el análisis evolutivo de datos geográficos, especialmente forestales y agropecuarios, acudiéndose para ello a fuentes censales y de distintos sectores productivos, confrontándolos con los datos satelitales que muestran la evolución cualitativa (a la vez cuantificable) de los usos del suelo durante dicho período. La elaboración de mapas y gráficos ha posibilitado mostrar con claridad la problemática estudiada. Los resultados dejan en evidencia el fenómeno de relocalización experimentado por las actividades primarias consideradas. El análisis de los mismos ha permitido llegar a algunas conclusiones en tomo a las causas, estado del proceso, implicaciones y perspectivas de los cambios operados en el territorio.The theme of this vvork is the spatial variations that have occurred in the Chaco, both in agriculture and stockbreeding, over the past four decades. The objective has been to recognize these changes, the factors that induced them and the implications that they have at a territorial leve!. The methodology consisted in the evolutionary analysis of geographic data, especiallyforestry and agriculture data, using census sources and other sources from different productive sectors, comparing them with satellite data that reveáis the qualitative (and at the same time quantifiable) evolution of land uses during said period. The preparation of maps and graphics has rnade it possible to clearly show the problems studied. The results show the phenomenon of relocation experienced by the primary activities considered. The analysis of those results has made it possible to reach some conclusions about the causes, State of the process, implications and perspectives of the changes carried out in the territory.
