The study, the diffusion and the registry of the oral histopatologías, in his great majority are oriented to the adult age, and not to the pediatric age, this was the motivating fact of the greater project of investigation with reference to the subject "Oral lesions: histopatología and registration in the Pediatric Hospital "Juan Pablo II" Corrientes-Argentina ", with the objective of characterizing the histopathological diagnoses present in the samples obtained from non-cariogenic oral lesions of patients, between 01 month of life to 15 years of age, assisted in the Pathological Anatomy and Cytology Service of the Pediatric Hospital "Juan Pablo II" (HPJP II) of CorrientesCapital, in the period 01-01-1993 to 31-12-1994; and to quantify through a registry the pediatric non-cariogenic oral pathologies, with an axis in the histopathological diagnoses; applying for this the International Classifications in force, International Classification of Diseases Applied to Dentistry and Stomatology. All cases of oral lesions of 1993 and 1994 were recorded. A retrospective, observational, and descriptive design was used as inclusion criteria: 1) Patients from 01 month to 15 years attended in the Juan Pablo II Pediatric Hospital who had presented oral lesions biopsied or surgically excised and / or cytology. 2) Protocols of materials with clinical and filiatorial data (that include age, gender, location and characteristics of the lesion). 3) Samples processed and colored according to conventional routine technique for tissue and / or cytological studies and exclusion criteria : 1) Patients who do not have informed consent signed by tutors or parents. 2) State of the biopsid samples. The variables evaluated were age, sex, oral lesion, and histopathology. It was found that they show a predominance of HAVA (55 cases), followed by Mucocele (7 cases), Specific Infections 2 (cases), Odontogenic Cyst (1 case), Non-Odontogenic Cyst (1 case) and Inflammatory Polyps (1) in the reference hospital evaluated. In relation to the age variables, the age group with the highest commitment was represented by children from 1 to 4 years old, and in relation to the gender variable in 1993 1: 1, while 1994 2: 1 female predominance.
