Evolución, distribución y difusión del COVID-19 en Argentina : primer mes (03/03/2020-02/04/2020)

Abstract

Espacio, tiempo y enfermedad constituyen los componentes de la tríada epidemiológica que encaminan estudios de distribución espacial y difusión temporal de la morbilidad de la población. Es por ello que este tipo de investigaciones o contribuciones son parte del campo de estudio tanto de la Geografía de Salud como de la Epidemiología Espacial. La inesperada irrupción de la enfermedad por Coronavirus o COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) despertó la apremiante necesidad de responder con análisis e indagaciones de carácter local al conocimiento de la dinámica de esta patología. En esta contribución ponemos a consideración los resultados del seguimiento de la pandemia en la Argentina con los datos del primer mes de registro de la enfermedad. Los tres aspectos que se exponen son la evolución, la distribución espacial y la difusión temporal tomando como fuente de información el reporte diario del Ministerio de Salud de la República Argentina.

Space, time and disease constitute the components of the epidemiological triad that guide studies of spatial distribution and temporal spread of population morbidity. That is why this type of research or contribution is part of the field of study of both, Health Geography and Space Epidemiology. The unexpected outbreak of Coronavirus disease or COVID-19 (Coronavirus disease 2019) awakened the pressing need to respond with local analysis and inquiries to knowledge of the dynamics of this pathology. In this contribution we put into consideration the results of the follow-up of the pandemic in Argentina with the data from the first month of registration of the disease. The three aspects that are exposed are the evolution, the spatial distribution and the temporal diffusion taking as a source of information the daily report of the Ministry of Health of the Argentine Republic.
