Comisión mujer en ingeniería del CONFEDI : por más mujeres en ingeniería

Abstract

En este trabajo se presentan las motivaciones que impulsaron la creación de la Comisión Mujer en Ingeniería (CMI) en el seno del Consejo Federal de Decanos de Ingeniería de Argentina (CONFEDI). La presencia y el aporte de las mujeres en la Ingeniería es trascendental para cubrir la demanda de profesionales, fortalecer los equipos de trabajo y potenciar las chances de éxito a la hora de proponer soluciones a las problemáticas tecnológicas. Sin embargo, hoy en Argentina la matrícula de mujeres apenas supera el 25% y, mayormente, se encuentran concentradas en algunas pocas especialidades. Es por ello que, desde el CONFEDI, a través de la CMI se trabaja para incrementar el ingreso y permanencia de mujeres en las diferentes ramas de carreras de ingeniería, impulsando acciones para despertar vocaciones tempranas, resaltar el rol de la mujer en la Ingeniería, incentivar a que más jóvenes vean a esta carrera como su propio proyecto de vida y lograr que tengan los mismos derechos y oportunidades que los hombres en el ámbito laboral. En el trabajo se describen los objetivos de la CMI, las acciones llevadas adelante desde su creación en el año 2018, los logros alcanzados y los retos a futuro.

This paper presents the motivations that drove the creation of the Women in Engineering Commission (CMI) within the Federal Council of Deans of Engineering of Argentina (CONFEDI). The presence and contribution of women in Engineering is transcendental to meet the demand for professionals, strengthen work teams and enhance the chances of success when proposing Solutions to technological problems. However, today in Argentina the enrollment of women barely exceeds 25% and, for the most part, they are concentrated in a few specialties. That is why, from the CONFEDI, through the CMI, it works to increase the entry and permanence of women in the different branches of engineering careers, promoting actions to awaken early vocations, highlight the role of women in Engineering, encourage more young people to see this career as their own life project and ensure that they have the same rights and opportunities as men in the workplace. The work describes the objectives of the CMI, the actions carried out since its creation in 2018, the achievements made and the challenges for the future.
