La perspectiva intercultural de los derechos humanos en un estudio de caso : la génesis del movimiento piquetero en la provincia del Chaco (1998-2000)

Abstract

Algunos de los problemas teóricos de las concepciones naturalistas y positivistas de los Derechos Humanos pueden ser superados mediante una perspectiva intercultural. De esta manera, es posible establecer una tipología de violaciones de estos derechos que puede aplicarse en estudios de caso. A partir de estas premisas se intenta analizar las formas de violación a los Derechos Humanos presentes en los inicios del Movimiento de Trabajadores Desocupados o “movimiento piquetero” de la provincia del Chaco que, al igual que en toda Argentina, surgieron ante las consecuencias del neoliberalismo durante la década de 1990.Some of the theoretical problems arising from naturalistic and positivistic conceptualizations of human rights can be overcome trough an intercultural perspective. Thus, it is possible to set a typology of human rights violations wich can be applied to case studies. Starting from these premises, the aim of this paper is to analyze forms of human rights violations present at the begin- ning of the Unemployed Workers Movement (or “Piquetero” Movement) in the province of Chaco. This movement, as well as others of similar nature throughout Argentina, emerged from the consequences of the neoliberal regime in the 90’s.
