Hallazgos anatomo histopatológicos en un canino con enfermedad glomerular quística bilateral

Abstract

El objetivo de esta comunicación fue reportar los hallazgos anatomohistopatológicos de un caso de enfermedad glomerular quística bilateral en un cachorro de cuatro meses de edad, de raza pastor alemán, que concurrió a la consulta con síndrome de insuficiencia renal. El estudio anatomohistopatológico permitió caracterizar lesiones renales compatibles con una enfermedad glomerular quística. Esta rara afección, probablemente asociada a enfermedades renales familiares, ocurre en potrillos y perros recién nacidos, de diferentes razas.The aim of this communication is to report the anatomohistophatological findings in a case of bilateral glomerular cystic disease in a German Shepherd puppy, four months old, with renal insufficiency and subsequent death. The anatomohistopathological study allowed the characterization of lesions compatible with glomerular cystic disease. This uncommon entity occurs in foals and newly born dogs from different breeds, and is probably associated to familiar renal illnesses.
