Seroprevalencia de leucosis enzoótica bovina en rodeos lecheros de la región noroeste de la provincia de Corrientes, Argentina

Abstract

Con el objetivo de determinar la seroprevalencia de leucosis enzoótica bovina y evaluar el estado sanitario en rodeos lecheros del noroeste de la provincia de Corrientes, se procesaron 126 sueros de bovinos Holando Argentino y Jersey, mayores de tres años de edad, pertenecientes a siete tambos. La técnica diagnóstica utilizada fue la de inmunodifusión en gel de agar. El 85,7% de los tambos fueron positivos, con una seroprevalencia del 32,53% en los animales muestreados. En ningún bovino positivo se registraron manifestaciones clínicas compatibles con la enfermedad.The aim of this study was to perform a seroprevalence survey of enzootic bovine leukosis, in order to evaluate the sanitary state of seven dairy farms of Corrientes, north–east Argentina. One hundred and twenty six sera samples were tested (Holando Argentino and Jersey) from three–years–old animals. Diagnostic technique was agar gel immunodiffusion. Results showed a prevalence of 25% of this disease. The 85.7% of the investigated farms were positive, with a seroprevalence of 32.53% for all the tested sera. No leukosis clinical signs were detected in the seropositive animals.
