On 60 clinically healthy canines from different breed and age, morphological anomalies were verified in the region of the forearm of 15 specimens (25%), characterized as radiate–ulnare sindesmosis. They consisted on lengthened deformations that occupied the half third of the interosseous space, defining two arcades radiate–ulnare (proximal and distal), capable to interfere the pronation and supination movements. Findings were documented by means of x–rays and photographies of the dissected anatomical piece. The probable existence of this abnormality should be kept in mind when surgical and traumatological maneuvers have to be performed in canines.
