The aim of the present work was to report the anatomopathological, histopathological and immunohistochemical findings of a bovine fetus aborted due to the infection of Neospora caninum. The fetus, 5 months of gestation, belonged to a Holando Argentina cow from Municipality of Riachuelo, Corrientes, northeastern Argentina. The histopathological examination showed severe multifocal necrotic and not suppurative encephalitis, diffuse hepatitis and multifocal myocarditis, both not suppurative. Numerous cyst forms of protozoan were observed in encephalic tissue colored with hematoxylin and eosin. The immunohistochemical examination revealed cyst structures and tachyzoites of N. caninum in brain’s basal areas. The bovine neosporosis is an abortive parasitic disease, which is present in northeastern Argentina. It should be included in the list of differential diagnoses of bovine’s abortive diseases. For its diagnosis, the histological examination of the fetus is essential.
