El uso del pasado y el relato sobre el origen de los hunos en la Getica de Jordanes

Abstract

Este trabajo pretende arrojar nuevos interrogantes sobre el uso del pasado en la obra de Jordanes. Para ello, nuestro objetivo es el de analizar el relato que describe el origen del pueblo huno incluido en la Getica, para tratar de inferir cuales fueron los motivos por los que Jordanes incorporó dicho relato en su narración sobre los godos, en relación a la historia del reino ostrogodo de Italia.This work seeks to bring new questions concerning the use of the past in the work of Jordanes. In order to do this, my objective is to analyze the story of the origins of the Huns, included in the Getica, to infer which were the aims of Jordanes by adding this fragment in his history of the Goths, especially regarding the history of the Ostrogothic kingdom in Italy.
