Un problema de sofismas. Los orígenes de la nación argentina y sus antinomias

Abstract

Entre fines del siglo XX y principios del siglo XXI los estudios en torno a los lenguajes y las identidades impulsaron el resurgimiento de la historia política en América Latina. Especialmente las revisiones historiográficas sobre el siglo XIX respecto a temas como la formación de los Estados y las naciones, estimularon renovadas investigaciones y publicaciones entre las cuales las de José Carlos Chiaramonte constituyen referencia obligada para el caso argentino. En este propicio contexto se generaron los debates entre perspectivas políticas y culturales en el abordaje del origen de la Nación Argentina. Este trabajo propone una reflexión sobre el estado de la cuestión de esta problemática focalizando en el discurso histórico de Chiaramonte, sus aportes y las críticas que a favor y en contra se han esgrimido.Late 20th century and early 21st century the studies concerning on languages and the identities boosted the resurgence of political history in Latin America. Especially the historiographical reviews on 19th century on issues such as the formation of States and Nations, they stimulated renewed research and publications between which those of José Carlos Chiaramonte are reference for the Argentine case. In this favourable context is generated the debates between political and cultural perspectives in the approach to the origin of the Argentina nation. This work proposes a reflection on the condition of the question of this problematics focusing in Chiaramonte's historical discourse, their contributions and criticisms that have been put forward in favour and against.
