The citizen of the barracks. Genealogy of military service as a problem and concern in Argentine military cadres in the corner of the XIX-XX
The aim of this article is to focus on the genealogy of a specific form of reflection in military thinking, which, during the first years of the 20th Century, outlined and kept compulsory military service as the best way of relating the military with the male population. In doing so, it sketched out as one of its main reasons, a model of citizenship that would be deepened in the next decades: the citizen of the barracks.
