Se propone favorecer un aprendizaje autónomo, reflexivo, indispensable en la construcción de una ciudadanía plena, que se constituye en procesos que requieren de, entre otras cosas, confianza, autoestima, autonomía, capacidad crítica, posibilidad de ver y poder enunciar problemas (preguntas) que sean comunes al grupo, a partir de procesos de desnaturalización de lo social.
Se reconsidera el lugar de la autoridad, ya que si bien la relación asimétrica educador- educando siempre existe, se busca horizontalizar las mismas sin que se desvanezca la asimetría mencionada.
Se presenta a los alumnos situaciones que deben ser analizadas y trabajadas a partir de preguntas que ellos mismos deben hacerle a la situación y de la selección de bibliografía que hacen en función de tales preguntas. El profesor no se presenta como el depositario del saber, sino que actúa como mediador entre el vínculo que
alumno debe poder establecer con el conocimiento, propone las situaciones, brinda la bibliografía, esta siempre dispuesto a aclarar dudas sean metodológicas o conceptuales. Enlace permanentes intervenciones destinadas a que los alumnos profundicen o amplíen sus experiencias de aprendizaje pero en la dirección que cada uno va planteando. Evalúa permanentemente los procesos de cada alumno. El alumno debe permanecer siempre dispuesto y movilizado en su propio proceso de formación y en el del grupo, requiere disposición para hacerse cargo de sus fortalezas y de sus
dificultades y de pedir ayuda al grupo o al profesor para poder continuar avanzando.
