Green open space and its role in regional development. The case of its significance in the recreational and cultura areas of Resistencia and its extended metropolitan territory

Abstract

El presente estudio reúne sintéticamente las principales consideraciones del trabajo realizado en torno a la infraestructura verde y su papel en el desarrollo regional. El objetivo de la investigación fue definir los conceptos básicos de partida e identificar las iniciativas sobre la infraestructura verde, como elemento clave en la definición de un modelo territorial sustentable a nivel regional, aplicándolo a la ciudad de Resistencia, ciudad capital y cabecera del AMGR. Se realiza una propuesta para los ejes verdes con funciones recreativas y culturales como elementos integrantes de la infraestructura verde del área en estudio.

This study summarizes the main aspects of the work done regarding green infrastructure and its role in regional development. The objective of the research was to define the basic starting points and identify existing initiatives on green infrastructure as a key element in the definition of a sustainable territorial model at the regional level. The resulting con- clusions are applied to the city of Resistencia and its metropolitan region, resulting in a proposal for green axes for recreational and cultural functions as integral elements of the green infrastructure of the study area.
