Manejo del cáncer de mama hereditario y familiar en un hospital de la ciudad de Corrientes

Abstract

En la actualidad, no se conoce exactamente cuál es la incidencia del cáncer de mama hereditario en Corrien- tes. Recientemente, en Argentina, se comenzaron a implementar paneles multigenéticos (PM), mediante el uso

de nuevas técnicas de análisis genómico (Next generation sequencing o NGS), que permiten analizar grandes cantidades de información sobre genes relacionados con el cáncer de mama hereditario como ser aquellos de alta penetrancia BRCA1 y BRCA2. Para la realización de los estudios genéticos es necesario que previamente

los pacientes concurran a un asesoramiento genético oncológico. El objetivo del presente trabajo es el de con- tribuir al conocimiento de la situación actual del cáncer hereditario y familiar en la ciudad de Corrientes, a partir

del análisis de un caso. Se revisaron las historias clínicas de pacientes, que concurrieron a la consulta del servi- cio de oncología del hospital “Dr. José R Vidal”, con sospecha de cáncer de tipo hereditario o familiar. La pacien- te del caso presentado en el actual trabajo aun no cuenta con un diagnóstico definitivo de su patología; diagnos- tico que a su vez pueda ayudar a otros dentro de su misma familia.At present, the exact incidence of hereditary breast cancer in Corrientes is not known. based on the analysis of a case. The medical records of patients who attended the oncology service of the Hos- pital “Dr. José R Vidal” with suspicion of hereditary or familial cancer were reviewed. The patient in the case pre- sented in the current study does not yet have a definitive diagnosis of her pathology; diagnosis that can help ot- hers within the same family.
