“sensibilidad social empresaria”.
This research project investigates to what extent the exercise of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) by companies in the city of Resistencia has been oriented in recent years to give help and contributions to the operation of soup kitchens for children with food needs. The concept of CSR handled by entrepreneurs (owners or managers of companies) is presented, and if their actions related to the help for soup kitchens can be classified as CSR. A fieldwork was designed with surveys to managers of soup kitchens and semistructured interviews aimed to managers of large and medium companies, based on a guide of issues to be treated concerning the management of CSR, and particularly their actions related to sustainability of these refectories for children. The first thing that stands out from the fieldwork is the reluctance of the soup kitchens to be surveyed, so little information was obtained about its management and operation, taking as relevant data that most of the surveyed establishments have become “merenderos”, since they can not afford the infrastructure and expenses of a soup kitchen. Although there are different practices and positions among employers regarding the help to these refectories and the directing of CSR, they consider that the the help they provide to soup kitchens is better framed under the concept of "corporate social sensitivity".
